Her bathing scene invoked ceetis from the front benchers. I saw Eeshwar with my dear grandmother at Bijlee Cinema, Matunga. We both liked the movie particularly my grandma loved the widow remarriage theme.

The audience was also impressed by the overall movie though they were taken aback by the opening scene where we see an old and weak Anil Kapoor trying to repair the antique wall clock. It was a significant departure from his street smart Lakhan Pratap Singh they had seen a few weeks before.. Eeshwar remains one of Anil's underrated performances of his long career.
